DM22F-04D Unboxed: What’s in the Box, Carton Size and Measured Height

Spec sheets tell you a lot, but not everything. So we took a DM22F-04D dual motor electric desk frame from our Auburn stock, opened the carton, weighed it and measured the frame. Here is exactly what arrives, so you can plan delivery, pickup and set-up.

The carton: size and weight

The frame ships in a single carton. The label lists:

  • Carton size: 105.5 × 34.5 × 16 cm
  • Gross weight: 20.7 kg
  • Net weight: 19.1 kg
  • Country of manufacture: China (marked "Made in PRC")

We checked it on our scale before shipping. The packed carton weighed 20.55 kg, and the empty carton with its foam weighed 1.55 kg. That leaves about 19.0 kg for the frame and parts, close to the 19.1 kg on the label.

The desktop is a separate product with its own carton. If you are collecting from Auburn, make sure your vehicle can take every carton:

How it is packed

Inside, every part sits in its own cut-out in white foam, with the user manual on top. The legs, feet, side brackets and crossbar are all in the same carton as the accessories.

What's in the box

Along with the frame parts, the carton holds:

  1. Hand controller with up/down buttons, three memory presets (1, 2, 3) and an M button
  2. Power adapter with an Australian plug
  3. Connection cable
  4. Cup holder and headphone hook
  5. Screw kit in bags A to E, with an Allen key
  6. Spare screws
  7. User manual in English, with a parts list

The desktop is not included. Choose the DT-120 (1200 × 600 mm) or DT-140 (1400 × 700 mm), or contact us about using your own.

Measured height range

We measured the assembled frame with a tape measure, from the floor to the top of the frame, without a desktop:

  • Lowest position: about 71 cm
  • Highest position: about 116 cm
  • Travel: about 45 cm

Add your desktop's thickness to get the working height. With an 18 mm DT-120 or DT-140 desktop, that comes to roughly 73–118 cm, in line with the listed range of 730–1180 mm including desktop thickness.

Before you start assembly

  • Clear some floor space. The longest parts are around a metre long, and you will need room for the desktop as well.
  • Check the parts list first. Lay everything out and tick it off against the list in the manual before you begin.
  • Keep the carton and foam for now. If you want to make a change-of-mind return within 7 days of delivery, the item must be unused and returned with all original packaging, accessories and parts. See our refund policy.
  • Plan the power point. The power adapter needs a nearby outlet. Leave enough cable slack for the desk's highest position.
